I'm reading this book as a part of 28th edition of Set It Yourself challenge (April 2014) - BC book
Finally the book is ready to travel. Finished it this morning and started the second one from the series.
Sent today as a regular mail. Safe travels!
I spent the week away from home and when I went back, there was a pile of mail waiting for me. One of the envelopes included a book, I was sure &mdash: but couldn't understand who'd be sending me a book. However, when I saw the large Ice Hockey World Championship logo on the envelope, I knew, of course I knew: Lamilla! And The Eyre Affair.
I've never read jasper Fforde but some Finnish BC'ers don't seem to get enough of his books. Then I picked up Lost in a Good Book from the library book swap shelf but haven't yet started it. I'm so glad I won this book, especially since is the first Thursday Next novel.
But it's not all. Inside the book, there was a postcard. Not just any old postcard (which are fine, honestly) but the 2014 Ice Hockey World Championship in Minsk, Belarus postcard. Wow.
I had just given my father he sports related postcards Arvores had sent for him. (My dad collects them.) He was overwhelmed. Then I gave him the postcard. He couldn't believe his eyes. This is so valuable, he whispered. And the envelope. He was speechless.
Oh, Lamilla, I love you. Not only you saved my day but you also made an old man (turning 90 in January) so happy.
My father sends you his love. I do too. Thank you ever so much, Lamilla!
