Sounds really interesting...TBR

This book tells an absorbing and fascinating story: of the Chicago World's Fair and the personalities who made it happen, of a serial killer who preyed on a number of its visitors, and of a madman whose actions caused the Fair to end on a tragic note.
I found this book particularly interesting because I knew absolutely nothing about the events and people Larson describes. Larson is an excellent storyteller, and I plan to look for his other books--all nonfiction should be this engaging.
I'm sending this book on to a friend from Chicago--hope you like it!

Very good book. I'm a native Chicagoan and am fascinated with that period of my hometown's history, in particular the ideal of the White City (what the Chicago fathers wanted their city to become) with a much darker side only blocks away. Larson does a nice job of telling the tale.
Many thanks to Genevalove for sending it to me. I plan to pass it along to another native Chicagoan (and author to boot!).
