Another quick read, and once again, not a Marple or Poirot.
A family patriarch has been poisoned and the extended family are all suspicious of each other and pointing fingers. Into this mix, comes Charles, fiance of the old man's Grand Daughter and related to the Head of Scotland Yard. For these reasons, he's allowed access to the family and the Detective in charge of the investigation and given permission to snoop and meddle (ok help).
The plot twists and turns as with each additional clue we suspect a different person in the family. This being AC and written in the 50s, you get all the language and prejudices of the times before everything gets wrapped up neatly.
Nice little story and a pleasant change to Marple/Poirot and all the TV adaptations.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I picked it up at the April meeting at Biblos.
Good little story with lots of unique characters. A typical whodunnit, with plenty of clues and red herrings along the way!
