Thank you so much, this is one of those books I really REALLY want to read!!
Journal Entry 3 by Sakirmo at Turku, Varsinais-Suomi / Egentliga Finland Finland on Wednesday, August 7, 2013
Well... to be honest, this was not quite as interesting as I thought it would be. Sheers' writing style bored me and it was difficult to get past it to appreciate the story. Just not my kind of a book, I guess.

Many thanks, sakirmo! I got this book at the Finnish BC Summer Meeting. I loved the Resistance by Sheers, let's see how it goes with the Dust Diaries.
Finally I got this cleared from the oldest end of my TBR! I would have liked to enjoy this story more than I did. The font was tightly packed and small and there were long periods with no chapter divisions which made reading tedious. Yes, Arthur had a remarkable life but this story sounded much more dry and dull than the reality must have been.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
This book did not find new readers at the BC meetings of Tampere and Helsinki so I brought it with me on my trip to eastern Finland. While staying in Rauha we visited Ukonniemi for some geocaching and coffee break in the spa cafe. This book is now waiting for new readers in the book corner upstairs beside the cafe area.

Journal Entry 8 by tsatsav at Imatra, Etelä-Karjala / Södra Karelen Finland on Monday, December 26, 2022
Picked this from Imatra Spa book exchange shelf.
Enjoyable read. I’ve found that I enjoy nonfiction written by poets, as they often use imaginative language. Owen Sheers writes beautifully, although sometimes with too many words. That made reading a bit exhausting at times. Luckily the topic of this book was really interesting.
