Takes up where Shilt's book And The Band Played On.. left off. There's a lot of information in this book, the author is mostly interested in pointing out our nation's failure to cope with the Aids public health crisis. She's right, we haven't. She's not interested in specific villains, that's pointless; more an examination of where institutional reasons, societal excuses, and self-proclaimned comfort with victimhood has led us. You may get angry, shake your head, and laugh all at the same time.
