Thank you for finding this book and welcome to bookcrossing! Bookcrossing is a wonderful place to share your love of reading with people all over the world. If you decide to register instead of remaining anonymous, when someone else journals this book you will get an e-mail notification. It is a lot of fun to follow the travels of a book that passed through your hands. Again, welcome to bookcrossing!
To help ensure that things run smoothly (or that is the plananyhow), I've put together a few rough guidelines for this one. I know that some people take longer to read a book (busy, got a bunch of books to read before, work, kids, etc)...
1. Please try to have this book read within 3 weeks. I know thisisn't possible, but if you make an effort to try that is all I can ask.
2. Please journal when you receive the book.
3. When about halfway through, please contact the next person on the list for their mailing address.
4. Please journal again when you've read the book and it is on its way.
5. Have fun! Reading is supposed to be fun!
Sending order:
Aramena (OK)
carelaisa (Canada/US preferred)

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Sent out to Aramena to start off this bookray.
As a note to all readers there is yet another book in the series coming out later this month, which I plan to buy, so I will be adding it to the list of books and will send it off once I get it and have read it. :)

Arrived today! Started another book yesterday, so will probably start this one over the weekend.
I finished this last night, and it was pretty enjoyable. Like Mencheres, I wasn't real fond of Vlad in the Cat and Bones books, so I was glad to learn more about him. Unlike with Mencheres, reading Vald's story did not make me a much bigger fan of him. I know all of the vampires are violent and ruthless and protective of what's theirs, but Vlad just seems to go overboard with it. I liked Leila, but at times I felt like she needed to grow up a little.
Regardless, I still enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one. I gave my sister the first Cat and Bones book for Christmas, and she read it recently, and then went out and bought the next three books, so I'm happy to have made Ms. Frost a new fan!
I'll get this book packaged up today, but may not make it to the post office until Monday to mail it out.

Stopped by the post office on my way to work this morning and mailed to carelaisa.
The book got here today!
I'm currently reading another book but I should get to this one soon!

Another spin-off by this author, this time around with the character of Vlad Tepesh – but do not call him Dracula! In the Night Huntress series, he comes off as being a cold-hearted, calculator and arrogant person who seems to trust no one but himself. In this book, we get to know him more and see a better side of him. Of course, he’s still arrogant but at the same time, he seems to have a heart after all – all of this the doing of Leila. I had a great time reading this book, diving onto the world of another character. She might not be the best author I ever read but she has a prose that flows very well and somehow addictive. I always find it hard to stop reading one of her books and I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series, as I’m curious to see how Vlad and Leila’s relationship will evolve, and what will happen next, knowing what we know about them both.
EDIT: the book is now travelling to the next BCer as of today, May 1st.

I enjoyed this book almost better than the Cat and Bones series.Maybe it's just because I read so many of those lately, lol. Sending on to next reader.

Hah! Glimpsed something about this being about Vlad... yay! This has arrived just as I'm getting ready to go abroad for five days... with a few other rings that are already here, so this may wait until my return. I know it will go fast once I pick it up. Thanks for sending, I've become quite the Frost fan!

Hmmmpf! I've always quite like Vlad, and although he's quite the tyrant, this book does do him justice, and Frankie/Leila makes a good match for him. So not fair to end on a cliff-hanger though! Now I can't wait for the next! Will check if footymadgill is ready for me to post soon or not. Thank you thank you thank you for making these available!

I didn't want to send this too too fast and I gather there's a bit of a Jeaniene Frost gathering taking place in Surrey these days... Anyway, now headed from the Alps on over - I can't wait for the next!
Thanks yet again for making this super spiral available, and thanks everyone for sending.

Sorry, just realised, now I have finished reading it, that I didn't journal to say it had been received.
Oh yes, Vlad is definitely the man for me! I didnt particulary like the storyline and the ending was dissappointing...leaving room to explore in the next in the series!

Well this took me way too long to finish, but to be fair I have had uni work pile up here there and everywhere, that also explains why I haven't sent out the previous book to the next reader just yet. But I assure you this will happen this week, hopefully.
Having never read Bram Stoker's Dracula, I do not really know that much about Vlad as others might. However as Vlad attempts to make known, what is told in fictional books are not at all the truth, and I did not need to read Dracula previous to this book.
The book was engaging to an extent but as soon as Vlad takes Leila to his castle and home I felt like my reading pace slowed, and I was not as caught up in the book as much as I previously were.
I am eager to read the sequel, which I have on my desk! But will the sequel be similar? Or will i be more into the next book?
Will send out with previous book this week (hopefully)!
