this has been on our shared bookshelf at work for a few months, a handful of people have read it but not in a while so I thought it was time to re-release

I spotted this on a Birthday girl's wishlist so I thought I'd add it to her parcel, since an extra book never hurt anyone!

I'm currently reading The Sea of Poppies, which this book is a sequel to...so hope to get to it soon!

Another one that goes out to ecuas, since he's already read and loved Sea of Poppies while I'm still making my way through it (as my first Amitav Ghosh, it's a helluva long book!)

I read the prequel to this - the Sea of Poppies, a couple years ago. I had liked t a lot, and have wanted to read this book since then. I might have to brush up on Sea of Poppies again though, the details are quite sketchy! Still, I'm sure I will enjoy this book, like I have enjoyed The Hungry Tide and Calcutta Chromosome by the same author.
