Like most Steinbeck novels, this was fantastic. It took Oprah's new book club to finally get me to read it, though. *blush*

I'm about a third of the way through this book and I can't put it down! I put off reading it for a long time because I was so depressed after reading Grapes of Wrath- but this is totally different. Steinbeck has such amazing insights into the human experience.

I caught the book at a coffee shop in Norfolk, where I live. I'm so glad I finally started to read it and I plan to release it when I'm done.
