Sent to meganh for my 9th anniversary draw.
Thank you for selecting me as the winner of your 9th bookiversary catsalive. A huge bag of books arrived on my doorstop and this is the first one I a catching - one of the books I requested so looking forward to reading it.
Finally I have gotten around to reading this. Quite enjoyable as a holiday read although the story was not something I would normally gravitate towards. A little too bizarre and unrealistic for me.
Picked up at the meetup today. Sounds interesting so will try to give it a go.
Thanks everyone for sending this book my way!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Well written but the story didn't work for me. I like however the setting as I know this part of Britain quite well and the town in question was very reminiscent of Beverley in East Yorkshire. The historical period was also very well described. It's now ready to travel again.

A quick easy read whilst on holiday cruising down the Mekong River in Vietnam. A little bit strange, but I could relate to the era and the area they described in the novel, as my family are from Lancashire.
I will leave this book here on bookcase in the Saigon Lounge on the RV Amalotus for another reader to find.
