I have not liked the Lizzy & Diesel series as much as the Plum series and I'm not quite sure why. I think that part of it is the way the author treats the magic - I find that I just don't buy it and I'm not really sure if Evanovich does either. Anyway, it is a light, fluffy read - no more substance than cotton candy. I like Diesel but he's gone flat for me - the supposed tension in the relationship between him and Lizzy is just not there for me. Personally I find Wulf more intriguing. The plot was transparent and the situations improbable. I did like Carl the monkey - his hijinks at the museum were funny. I'll probably keep reading this series but it's not one where I'll breathlessly await each installment.
