Iain Banks at his best. I was totally drawn into the story as the main character returns to his home town in the north east of Scotland after a five year absence. Loved it from start to finish.

Picked up at the Layer Fox meet last night. Can't promise I'll read it anytime soon but I do like Iain Banks' fiction work (as opposed to NF).

Not read one for a while but I would say a book easily recognisable as the work of Iain Banks! A good yarn well written.
