Diamonds. Sierra Leone. Sigh. The only way to change the world is to learn about the consequences of inaction and willful ignorance. This is the story of how Sierra Leone bled and fell apart while the West ignored the consequences of Diamonds for Arms. Worth reading, and what is rare, with the bringing to justice of Charles Taylor, the story and future of Sierra leone is not hopeless.

Power to the people, and to the human spirit.
