From the back cover:
Cornelia Brown surprised herself when she was gripped by the sudden inescapable desire to move with her husband to the suburbs. Her mettle is quickly tested by her impeccably dressed, overly judgmental neighbor Piper Truitt-the embodiment of everything Cornelia feared she'd find in the suburbs. With Lake, another recent arrival, Cornelia shares a love of literature and old movies - as she forms an instant bond with this warm yet elusive woman and her perceptive, brilliant young son, Dev. But there are shocking secrets and unexpected surprises lurking beneath the peaceful veneer of suburban live - nothing is quite what it seems

I really liked this book. It was an enjoyable read, I liked the characters and how they came together in the end. It was a mostly happy although not perfect ending. I will be looking to read more books by this author.
Taking this to the December book crossing meeting to be shared with another reader
I loved it! It was an easy read but the characters were real and complex. I enjoyed the unusual mix of narration. Cornelia was presented in the first person, telling her own story, but that was coupled with omniscient presentation of the other characters. I'll definitely be recommending this novel to others in the bookcrossing group.
Book will be at the next BookCrossing meeting at Cravings, 2nd Saturday in May
My name was next on this book so grabbed it before the meet up.
I am taking this book to our monthly bookcrossers meet up at Cravings - the second Saturday of every month- to pass on to the next reader.
Oops I was in a hurry to release this and forgot to journal. I loved this book. It is about all different kinds of relationships...snotty neighbours, husbands, dying friends, quirky kids. Loved it. Dev is such an interesting boy..love him...so like the boy in word nerd...
Enjoy!

Releasing again so it leaves my bookshelf.

Oops - yet another one I missed. Sorry CGMa
Thought at the beginning that I wasn't going to like this book. Ended up really enjoying it. So glad that Piper experienced real life and changed because of it. Interesting journey that the characters took. I agree that Dev reminds me of the Word Nerd. His Mom was a strange one - not sure why she made the choices she did. Nice read on a rainy day in Roatan.
I am taking this in my big pile of books to the March meet up for the Calgary Bookcrossers at Cravings.
Picked up March Calgary Meeting
Enjoyed this book... easy read with interesting characters and a storyline that had both humor and tenderness.
Released at the Calgary Meeting.
