Arrived today together with "Strip Tease". Thank you so much for the two wishlist books!
I finally was in the mood for a thriller so i read this book during my holiday trip.
It was a really good and suspenseful; I espescially liked how the author managed to increase the sense of dread slowly - right from the beginning you know that something awful will happen, and you're constantly wondering how bad it all will be in the end.
The writing style was very on point, sometimes a bit info heavy because it seemed to be time to finally get background information, but it wasn't annoying or badly done - those were moments in the story where it made sense to get this kind of insight. Also, I enjoyed that sometimes the tone was a bit flippant, a dry wit showing through that contrasted with the drama.
There was an elemetn of the story I'm a bit meh about, but I didn't mind it so much that it hindered my enjoyment of the book. The characters and their conflicts were presented very well as were the setting and the problems coming from it. I liked the changing PoV - it really helped getting to know the characters and their motivation, and to understand how those events could happen.
Overall, very good read!
Thank you again for fulfilling my wish!
