Thank you, Plum-crazy.
Thank you for all the lovely things x
Thank you for all the lovely things x
Just read this for the second time - and realised I never JE'd it first time! Sorry Plum.
I LOVE Joolz Denby (not only because I have been lucky enough to meet her several times) - her descriptions of Bradford, West Yorkshire, remind me of my childhood; her friends could be people I know; her parents could be my parents; she has many northern traits with which I identify, and in Corazon (Spanish for heart) her style develops. Alma Greer takes herself off to Spain after a relationship break up (breakdown?) and ends up immersed in studying in the library of a mysterious cult. For reasons I shouldn't divulge, Alma becomes a revered member, and witnesses many things her protected Bradford childhood hasn't prepared her for!
Heartwarming and chilling at the same time, I was hooked from page 1: I have so much to read and so much to do with the pending move, but still managed to make time to read this for the second time before packing it in a box! Keeping in my permanent collection - this is a signed copy. Wow!!
Thank you Crazy mate. See you soon x
