This book is like all of Carol Higgins Clark's so far. Very light, funny, a bit of a no brainer as far as the mystery is concerned, but still worth a read if you like her style. I enjoyed the kooky rich old lady character. I can't remember the name now, but overall it was okay though not extraordinary.
Going in MsPooh's bookbox.
Taken from Ms Pooh's Mystery/Thriller bookbox. Thanks.
This was another Regan Reilly mystery. I found it to be an average mystery. The writing was not exceptional, but adequate. Characters were believable and the plot was a no brainer. However, that said, it still was a light, fluffy read for a summer evening.
From the back: Los Angeles P.I. Regan Reilly gets an urgent call from Lilac Weldon who owns a run-down winery with her two hippie brother. Lilac wants her to find her actress daughter, Freshness, who is known in the business as Whitney. Lilac's wealthy aunt Lucretia, 93-year's old, was a silent film star, and is getting married. Through a secret source, Lilac learns if all family members attend, they will receive $2 million each.
However, Lucretia's groom is a 46-year-old con man who wants to keep Whitney away because they had met before and she's wise to his game.

I agree with the previous reviews. Not great writing, but fun anyway. Thanks for sharing this! It's now "AVL".
