"Nothing links person to person like the frequent passage from hand to hand of a good book." This is a fun story about the author's travels in China. I found many of her experiences familiar and hilarious, having been to China and other Asian countries many times. In fact the first chapter, which begins at Mao's tomb, cracked me up. That's the first place I went when I was in Beijing, and I also found it pretty surreal.

I didn't like this book as much as I thought I would. There were parts that I did enjoy, however other parts just really didn't hold my attention.
