I found this battered but still readable paperback (different cover than shown) among the charity-sale books at a local Hannaford's, and picked it up for a Halloween release. I've loved Hitchcock's anthologies since I first discovered them in the '60s - he chooses offbeat stories with dark and/or funny twists.
This book includes a droll preface by Hitchcock himself, and some nicely creepy tales, such as Richard Matheson's "The Children of Noah" (in which a simple speed trap proves to be something nastier), and Ray Bradbury's chilling classic "The October Game".
