The Spire

I give this book a lowish rating simply because I did not like it. The Granville Hicks of Saturday Review says it's "...a magnificent piece of narrative...." I only made it through the first five or ten pages without throwing up my reading glasses is despair. I was hoping it would be another "Pillars of the Earth." Apparently building a "spire" is not as engaging as building the whole cathedral! I would really like to know what a non-professional critic says about this book.
Journal Entry 2 by Hydrant at To Departing Flight Attendant At Airport in -- Mail or by hand-rings, RABCK, meetings, trades, Florida USA on Tuesday, November 18, 2003
Released on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Airport -- to departing flight attendant in Gainesville, Florida USA.
I'm going to release this book at the airport with a couple of others, passing it along to a flight attendant to make sure it gets out of town (heeheehee). I hope the person reading it doesn't think I planted this "bomb" intentionally! (that's a joke! heeheehee)
