"Before she could give herself to him, she had to find out who she really was."
"Although he had already heard a great deal about Rachel Busek, nothing prepared Jim Guthrie for the beautiful flutist whose soft femininity was a sharp contrast _and the perfect complement_ to his rough-hewn personality. A private investigator, Jim is nearly overwhelmed with the urge to love and protect her. And Rachel is both amazed and delighted at the ease with which Jim slips into her life.
"Yet as quick passion gives way to leisurely love, there is a part of herself that Rachel holds back. For troubling pieces of her past remain a mystery even to her, and keep her from trusting her heart. Now, she must either discover the truth about her childhood, or risk losing the first man in her life worth keeping."

I usually enjoy Delinsky... so am curious about this one. Thanks so much for letting us celebrate your bookcrossing anniversary by making this book (and others) available - and thanks for the lovely surprises which travelled along in the parcel. This arrived with two other rings, and I had four which had just arrived the day before, so I've a bit of reading to do! I'll do my best to get these books out quickly. Happy bookcrossing!
I'm grateful for the opportunity to read this, especially as it is to celebrate bookworm-lady's bookcrossing anniversary. This being said, the following is a bit of a spoiler, I'm afraid.
I have the next address and hope to send this on soon. thanks so much for making it available and sending!
I've read quite a few books by this author and by and large enjoyed them very much. By the time I'd read the first few pages of this one I was flipping to the front to see when it was published. No surprise to see it was in the mid-80's, as it felt very dated. This is a far cry from The Vineyard, Lake News, Heart of the Night, Family Tree... In some ways it's refreshing and encouraging to see to what extent relationships have changed - the shy young ethereal thing drawn inexorably to the more primitive, earthy he-man... I'm afraid I just couldn't connect, and the ending, with the decision as to how to resolve their career conflicts still has me cringing.
We've come a long way, baby!

Now leaving the cold drizzle and gloom of the Swiss Alps for the northern climes of Scotland. Enjoy! (and thanks for making this available).
Book arrived safe and sound. Have to say the book looks a bit dated and old fashioned almost by the cover and how modern things look now. I'll give it a go and see how I get on.

Started this but I really can't see me reading very much of it I'm afraid!

Really struggling with this, going to have to give up on it.

This might have to wait a little but I'll do my best not to keep too long.

I'm not into romance. So it's hard to rate this book according to its genre. It's probably neither among the best or worse. I felt it was generally well writen but far too simple and slow for my taste. Which is a shame perhaps because there were some good ingredients there. This year I wanted to try a little bit of everything and I chose this book because it's music related. I was more interested to see how this element would be handled and I have to say it went rather well. (Except perhaps the moment when the flute falls "unnoticed" on the floor... I can feel fellow musicians shivering). Again, the author could have made more use of this element but I have no serious complaint.
Thanks for sharing Bookworm-lady! Ravencat is unable to participate in any rings/rays at the moment so the book stays with me for now. Anyone interested can send me a pm.

I always thought about releasing this book in one of my concerts. After almost two years and plenty of opportunities I gave up on this thought as impossible. There is simply too much on my head on a concert day and I repeatedly forgot. So this is the next best thing. I was in Naxos during the celebrations for the European Music Day 2015 (http://www.europeanmusicday.gr/), taking place in June 20-21. My group performed on the first day and I made my release on the second. Both days were wonderful, with both awsome musicians and audience. The team organizing all this for the past few years is simply amazing.
I hope someone finds the book and enjoys it!
