Absolutely adore this book! Eye opening, funny and witty. The best book I've read in a long time!
Lending this one to d-writer and hoping she loves it as much as I did!
Thanks Ccrowe!! After hearing all the great things about this book, I am looking forward to reading it! AND I will get it back to you ;)
There were parts I liked, and parts I didn't, but overall a good read.
I particularly enjoyed the section on WHY do women wear thong underwear!? YES! WHY oh WHY?! and also WHY the need to spend so much money on weddings or WHY do women at the age of 35 or so feel a need to go under the knife to make themselves look 'alarmed' or more not like themselves than the younger version they were trying for?
Favourite quote:
"But women living in fear of aging, and pulling painful and expensive tricks to hide it from the world, does not say something amazing about us as human beings. Oh, it makes women look like we were made to do it, by big boys. It makes us look like losers. It makes us look like cowards. And that's the last thing we are. That's the very, very last thing women are."
