2 journalers for this copy...

Lent to me by a friend, but she doesn't want it back, so it will go on the OBCZ shelves when there is a space.

Nu-Knees loved the film, so I'm sure she'll enjoy picturing the stars as the characters in the book as it fills in all the details. Off it goes to Knaresborough.

Thank you very much, bluenoser. Yes, I did enjoy the film - it took us away for a couple of hours of fun in the sun from our Norfolk holiday cottage when it was actually raining outside! The DVD was a welcome present for my recent birthday! Happy memories! I'm sure I'll enjoy the book even more - I usually do ....
I loved getting your parcel in the post this morning, thank you very much - and a very big thanks for the accompanying chocolate :-)

With one of those flashes of inspiration you get in the wee small hours of the morning, at approximately 3.33 a.m. I remembered I'd read and enjoyed another book by this author previously: Tulip Fever
I assume my not-quite-asleep brain was working on the problem because I'd picked up a copy of her novel Smile at the 100th York BookCrossers Meet Up yesterday :-)

Thank you again, bluenoser. I really enjoyed that. Quite different from the film, of course - better (which probably goes without saying, books always are!) and darker, with a different mix of characters, having different relationships and different degrees of emphasis, despite the many overlaps. And it was surprisingly seasonal when they celebrated Christmas!

This is one of five books I plan to release in the south west over the next few days ....

Given to my sister-in-law (JM) during a lovely weekend visiting family!
Over a million people around the world give their books a unique BookCrossing IDentity number (BCID) before sending them out to find new readers. Since the start of the scheme in April 2001 well over 9 million such books have been put into circulation. This is one of them!
Our hope is that we can track the progress of our books once they've left our hands - and that's possible if finders like you visit the website, key in the BCID and leave a comment, however long or short. It's fun, it doesn't cost anything and you can remain anonymous if you wish. You don't have to join but if you do you'll be able to number and track your own books!
