I've enjoyed other books by Yoshinaga, so when I came across this stand-alone yaoi manga at Harrison's Comics I couldn't resist. This one's about a music teacher who's drawn to a former student who wants additional tutoring. In an interesting variation, the student is a tall, mature-looking guy who's still emotionally immature - a combination that leads the teacher farther than he thinks is right. They have some ups and downs, but are settled in fairly happily when their secret gets out, and there's a drastic change in both of their lives.
Time passes, life goes on, new relationships turn up - but our heroes aren't done with each other yet. The story takes a turn here that really startled me, and pays homage to the emotional damage that can result from manipulative relationships - while still offering some hope for a happier future. Very intense story, with a rather stark yet effective art style.

I'm adding this book to my Yaoi Manga shrinking bookbox, which will set out on its first leg tomorrow. (See the bookbox journal here for mailing order and contents.) Hope someone enjoys the book!
I'm always glad to read anything by Fumi Yoshinaga, and I've never read this yaoi graphic novel, so I'm glad to add it to my collection. Thanks to Gory Details for making it available! It's one of four books i'm taking from her shrinking yaoi book box.
