Picked this up in Broughty Ferry today before visiting the old fishermans cemetery on Fisher Street. If you're in Broughty Ferry and want to see a tiny bit of hidden history why not get the the keys from the Ship Inn on the front (also on Fisher Street) and pop in to visit this tiny hidden bit of Broughty Ferry which was first created in 1637. Lovely and unexpected.

A nifty short read - hoovered up in the space of day and just as interesting and fantastical as the lovely colourful nautical cover illustrations would have you believe. Jaffy Brown has a chance encounter with a tiger upon the streets of London and after that his life will never be the same again. This was nominated for the Man booker a while ago and although, because i've read similar tales of sea faring, it is not the most unique or original of stories, it is written and presented in a very appealing way.
