An Object of Beauty

Got this the other day at the outlet mall in Williamsburg.... will listen to soon....
As I've noted before, I believe that the multi-talented Mr. Martin's best suit is his writing - I would have been curious to hear what it would have sounded like had he done the audio.
I liked this much better than another book of his I'd listened to in the last year.
He shows that he knows his way around the art world - this is a fascinating glimpse into that whole scene of collectors and auctions.
will release into a box soon.....

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Am putting this into my "another CD-Only AudioBookBox" for round two! Hope this finds a good home!
Last year I read Steve Martin's Shop Girl, and found myself liking it more than I expected. I therefore did not hesitate to take this out from the box. Thanks for sharing.
An interesting story about a young lady, Lacey, who tries to make it in the demanding art world of New York City. Groomed by Sotheby's and hungry to keep climbing the social and career ladders put before her, Lacey charms men and women, old and young, rich and even richer with her charisma and liveliness.
The characters are richly described, the plot captivating, as I keep guessing what will happen to Lacey. She's not exactly a likable character, very calculating and uses people as stepping ladder, but she has such charms that you do not want to see her fall either.
This book goes next to alsgal who selected it from the audio vbb.

Sorry I've kept this so long without sending it. I found that this audio book has a little post it saying that it goes to alsgal, but somehow it doesn't show up on my Zoho to mail list.
Anyway, enjoy it!
Anyway, enjoy it!
Received this a month or so ago but it seems it got buried on my desk.
