The Devil Wears Prada

I loved this book and had a hard time putting it down!! At first the name turned me off but when I realized that the "devil" was a she-devil of a boss, I settled in quite comfortably for a fast paced read ... This book is about Andrea (aka "Ahn-dre-ah") Sachs and her one year of employment/slavery as junior assistant to Miranda Priestly, editor in chief of Runway magazine. Andrea has the job "a million girls would die to have" and is at Miranda's beck and call 24/7/365. A tragic event in Andrea's best friend's life makes Andrea take stock of her life ... A highly enjoyable, easy read and very recommended!!

I enjoyed this book to an extent. It was decent writing and kept my interest but not very well. I kept thinking I was going to be "taken" somewhere and wasn't. Personally I think this book is overhyped, but then to be fair, it is classified as a "chic-lit" book and I'm not big on that genre.
I am very thankful to Jenny though for sending it to me, because my curiosity about the book was killing me. Thank you, Jenny!!
