Book description:
Twelve-year-old Tammy Franklin has learned too much about death, too quickly. Two years ago she lost her mother to a long, lingering illness and now the body of the woman her father married in an attempt to replace his wife has been found on a railway embankment close to the Franklin farm. This time the death is murder.
As Superintendent Markby, one of the first on the scene, well knows, Tammy now stands to have her father taken from her, for Hugh Franklin is suspect number one in the mind of the inspector to whom Markby has delegated the case. But, despite his need to distance himself from the murder, Markby begins to realise that the truth is destined to be far more complex than he ever envisaged ...

The book will be released in the official bookshelf in the shopping mall Columbus in Vuosaari, near the counter of Marian Konditoria (bakery shop)
I took some books to Columbus today and grabbed a few from the shelves too, this was among them :) I probably won't read it myself but there should be a Granger fan or two somewhere.. ;) Thanks for the book!
Journal Entry 4 by Tarya at Haus der Jugend - BC Convention 2019 in Mainz, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Tuesday, April 23, 2019
Picked up from the book buffet. I've enjoyed some other Ann Granger books and they're not always easy to find in the US. Thanks for sharing!
I’m always happy to find Ann Granger books since attending the 2015 Bookcrossing convention in Oxford, where she was a speaker. This one was a quick read, though not my favorite. It’s a later installment in the series (#12, and I usually read in order). The other book in this series that I read was #2 (A Season for Murder) so I haven’t been able to follow the course of Meredith and Markby’s relationship.
I’d still recommend this as a rather light escapist read!
