I do love Ann Rule. This one's about a diabolical cosmetic surgeon.
Good so far. I hadn't realized that the bad guy in this one is the same surgeon who pioneered implanting snaps into men's skulls so they could wear SNAP-ON TOUPEES. I'm not kidding, I saw it on TV years ago, and this is the same guy. And he had the procedure done on himself. Ann Rule is often gory, but this is one of the weirdest situations she's ever written about.
Great if you like this sort of thing, but probably won't convert you if you don't. I wonder if this volume should have been titled "Why Parole Is a Bad Idea," as nearly every case concerns paroled repeat offenders.
