Odd little book. The first part details the honeybee. A hard-working undervalued part of our food chain. The second part details the rountine of bee-keeping. and then throws in a few receipes and tips on making your yard bee friendly. Enjoyable, if only for the odd tidbits of information. I had no idea we truck hives from state to state to pollinate crops. But that does explain the every other year or so highway crash out here when a truck loaded with bees overturns. Hmm. I've always wondered, now I know.

Took out of MaryZee's Biography of Things bookbox. Replacing it with Art of the Celts.

Picked it up to read as my pick up/put down book two days ago. Already over 1/4 done.

I read more about bees than I knew there was. Some interesting recipes and lots of facts on bees, their hives, and the bee keepers. Never realized there was so much work in being a bee keeper.

Reserving this for future release - maybe a bookbox.
