Florence sets out to open a bookshop in the tiny town of Hardborough by purchasing a vacant property known as the Old House.

Florence sets out to open a bookshop in the tiny town of Hardborough but gets screwed over by her neighbors and the local arts doyenne. It was a wonderfully written story about an English country village in the 50s. As ugly and backstabbing as can be.
