This book I took from my shelf because cottonandmud asked me to. I bought it in Vancouver aeons ago. It is an old paperback and it smells of old bookshops. But it was new when I bought it. Perhaps the smell stores everything I ever experienced since this time. ☺

There is even the bookmark from the Vancouver Women's Bookstore. Memories!
Today will be a short night's rest: I will have to re-read it before giving it to cottonandmud (for a very good reason).

I hope it will experience a interesting journey through the world of readers!

Es kam heute in einem Umschlag mit einem anderen Buch mit der Endziffer 111 :-)

This is for sure a piece of world literature! It shows one day in the life of Clarissa Dalloway, a high-society woman in London who is preparing a party for the evening. It was written in the year 1925. It shows the interior perspective of Clarissa and other people that she is meeting on that particular day in the way of stream of consciousness storytelling. So it tells a story not only of a woman who reflects her life, decisions, former loves, but also the post-world-war-I society in Great Britain.
Absolutely worth a read!

12.08.2013 Irgendwie so überhaupt nicht meine Art Buch... Hat mich nicht wirklich gefesselt, es ist so vor sich hin geplätschert ohne nennenswerte Ereignisse oder Geschehnisse... Außerdem fand ich den Schreibstil eher seltsam als gut...

Reist heimlich still und leise zu Morella7 in der Hoffnung, dass du das Büchlein noch lesen magst, auch wenn es aufgrund seines Alters schon etwas mitgenommen ist. Viel Freude beim Lesen! :)
