To Die in Spring

I'm releasing Canadian books this month in anticipation of July 1st, Canada's birthday. Of course, given my mystery reading, a good number will be home grown mysteries like this one.
Set in Toronto, but with World War II Poland in the background, this novel features Dr. Rebecca Temple.

I particularly enjoyed the characters in this first of a proposed series and I appreciated the stress on the meaning that is intended whenever a person speaks. You have to listen to people like Goldie and remember that even the paranoid have enemies. I had picked up the little clue so I knew much of what was coming. I liked and admired Goldie and her sister and feel that they deserved a better end after a sad life. Dr. Temple could be an attractive investigator and I suppose there is an intent to match her with the police officer from this story.
