from the back cover:
"At the end of Eat, Pray, Love Elizabeth Gilbert fell in love with Felipe, a Brazilian-born Australian citizen. Resettling in America, they swore eternal fidelity, but also (each survivor of a divorce. Enough said) swore never, ever, to get married.
But when providence intervened in the form of the US government, they faced a stark choice: either marry, or Felipe could never return to the US.
Effectively sentenced to wed, Gilbert delves into the subject of marriage and, debunking myths, unthreading fears, celebrating love, suggests that sometimes even the most romantic of souls must trade in amorous fantasies for the humbling responsibility of adulthood."

Don't keep it more than one month. If you need more time then send me a pm.
Take good care of the book.
Thank you all for taking part in this ring!
On its way by post to thegoaliegirl. Enjoy!
This book has arrived safely in Spokane, WA. I'll be starting this shortly- just need to finish my current book first.
I tried to like this book but I just couldn't get into it. I got about 80 pages in but the history of marriage was too much for me, I wasn't expecting it. Lately, I only seem to find time to read before bed and the history of marriage bits just weren't enough to keep me awake for more than a few pages. I really wanted to like it and expected that I would, as I enjoyed Eat, Pray, Love. So it was a surprise when I didn't like it. Since this has stalled once, and I wasn't really enjoying the book/taking a long time to get anywhere in it, I decided to move it along to the next reader. Thanks for including me in this one.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Sent off to angelface46
just received - looking forward to reading.
Soo sorry for being so late at getting it out. I've been living in shelters for the last couple months with no job. I am finally getting back up on my feet. It is an interesting book. I will be messaging the next person and will send this out on the 14th of Dec.
finally got the book, after waiting for it for a very long time. my parents had to send it to me since it was mailed to their address much later that I was there (over one and a half month later...)
nevertheless, glad it made to me!
I have a few rings/rays to read but I shouldn't take too long to read it and pass it along.

The author takes us through what she and Felipe went through in order for him to be an American citizen. She explains all about the books and studies she read about marriage, and the people she met while they were travelling through Asia, awaiting the decision from the US government. I didn’t like it as much as the first book, and this one even felt less like a novel, more of some sort of autobiography. I should have kept it to the first book only and not delve into this one, it sort of broke the nice feeling and impression I had when I read Eat, Pray, Love. Not much more I could say about it, simply which it wasn’t what I was expecting…
EDIT: the book is now travelling to maranlin as of March 11th.

The book arrived today. Thank you for sending it to me, carelaisa.
This book was not at all what I was expecting. She spent a lot of time explaining about the history of marriage, which at times I found tedious, and about various customs, etc. in different cultures and throughout the ages, which was somewhat more interesting. I expected the book to focus more on the love story of Liz & Felipe and their journey towards obtaining his U.S. Visa. I did enjoy reading about the love story. Guess I'm just a romantic!
Thank you, vassilka for including me in this bookring. salvami asked to be skipped since she has obtained a copy of this book elsewhere. Mailed today to lydoula in Belgium. Enjoy!
