This is a book of Howard quotes. My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough. I can't wait till his own book comes out next month.

Released on Friday, November 14, 2003 at Common Grounds on High St near Rose St. in Lexington, Kentucky USA.

plan on leaving at the crossing zone...go dean!!

Whee! The very first release alert I received was when garofalo-lover released this book earlier today. I've been currious about Dean but haven't had time to really do my homework, so I was intrigued by the description of this book. So, I went out of my way this evening to stop by Common Grounds and pick it up. Thanks!

It's basically edited snippets of what he's said over the past three or four years and organized by topics. This can be useful as a sound byte reference, but not very good if you want to know the context of his statements. As someone who leans towards fiscal conservatives and social liberals, he is appealing to me. However, I don't think this book gave me the clarity on his positions that I was looking for. Great promotional tool, though.

I'm planning on releasing the book there sometime this afternoon. Some friends and I are meeting there to have a bit of the Big Boris Barleywine before they run out. I'm not a fan of barleywine, and I'm rather disappointed that I missed the Christmas Ale. It was soooo gooood last year! Anyway, I'll probably have a pint of my favorite - the Piper's Pride Scottish Ale.

Oops! I forgot to take the book with me when we went (long story). Anyway, they did have a bit of the Seasonal Ale left, which was nice. Be warned, though, a pint and a half left me very buzzed. I'll probably leave this book somewhere around Lafayette in the next few days. :)

Journal Entry 7 by AnnaLibrarian at Von's bookstore in Lafayette, Indiana USA on Friday, January 2, 2004
Released on Friday, January 02, 2004 at Von's bookstore in Lafayette, Indiana USA.

I left it on the ledge outside near the door. I forgot to check to see if it was still there after we left.
