I have learned my lesson, from now on if there are more than 5 I will assume the author needs his ego stroked and abstain from assisting by adding to his sales figures.
In the UK we have a trade description act. The first line of this review would allow me to take it back as misdescribed. Unfortunately a book only has to be fit to be read. It has words and pages so I lose that argument.
Lots and lots of look how clever I am pages. It is around 350 pages too long.
Lead female character is insipid, pathetic and probably typical of a good few teenagers of around 13 or 14. She's not 13 or 14. Two main male characters, one is a depressive and the other is able to inform the reader a lot about religious studies. You read that right. No need to buy an RE text book stick with this.
Do you care about what happens to any of them? I didn't.
Usually my turn off point with a book is the description "wonderful prose" this didn't even have that, just a fair few completely unlikely descriptions.
It has one star because I didn't find any spelling mistakes and that's what I reserve the final star for.
