This book is uneven. Some of the plot is actually surprising and compelling, and I would have given it a higher rating it it weren't for some of the romantic tropes that seeped in.
The story follows Kathryn's path as she has to navigate the grief caused by the death of her husband, an airline pilot, as well as the investigation that ensues after the crash that caused his death.
