I placed this book in the magazine rack.
This book has been on my must-read list since even before the movie was released. I read in an article how several people wanted to buy the rights to make the movie because it was such an amazing story. I saw the movie when it was released and bought it when it came out in DVD, then bought the book as a gift for an avid-reader friend of mine and made her promise that she would pass the book to me when she completed it. That was a year and a half ago and apparantly she has not read it yet. Many books have come and gone from my hands and I had sort of forgotten about Cold Mountain. While I was taking a break from work yesterday I noticed a book on top of a pile of magazines on the floor. It had the Bookcrossing label on it, which caught my eye and I realized it was stuck to Cold Mountain. The "inheritance" of the book and the discovery of Bookcrossing has been such a fun thing I couldn't wait to log on and read about the book's journey. I love the concept and am loving the book so far. I'm sure it will be at the top of my top 10 books of all time! When I am done I plan on taking it with me to the other side of this continent on a tip to Washington DC in July where it will be released and, hopefully read again.
