One of them pencil and die, turn to this page and die books.

In this one you're a seventies dance icon with a gold medallion and hairy chest. Your mission, should you choose to read it, is to destroy your medallion - a tough break for a seventies dance icon. You can understand the sacrifice if I was to say that's like destroying your cellphone, or having your texting thumb amputated with a spoon. You use the spoon to do the amputation, you understand. It isn't amputated as well. Unless you had five fingers and a spoon on one hand, which, let's face it, since Chernobyl and genetically modified seed crops is much more likely than it used to be.

I can turn to any page and be reassured of the quality of writing... so I'll do that and quote it to you:

"Put yourself in the place of the monkey. To the left is danger; the idle shall act."

This is very true. I've seen many idle actors act. Not well, but that isn't specified.

Another quote, just to show the quality isn't deficient elsewhere:

"You stop a passing student who directs you to the cemetery."

This is very subtle. What really happens is the student didn't appreciate being stopped and tells you to drop dead. On the way to the cemetery you meet a man with a shaven head.

"He wears baggy scarlet trousers which end just below the knee."

That is, he has red socks on. Knee highs, but they were knitted by his grandmother, so they are baggy.

I could go on. A must read for medical students.
