This is Book # 2 in Lorraine Bartlett's Series A Victorian Square Mystery. If Katie Bonner's late husband hadn't invested all their savings in the craft fair Artisans Alley--which Katie is now responsible for keeping in the black--the Webster mansion could have been hers to remodel. For years she dreamed of renovating the old place on Victoria Square into a bed-and-breakfast. Now that dream belongs to another young couple.

But their dream becomes a nightmare when a skeleton is discovered sealed in one of the walls of the mansion. The bones belong to Heather Winston, who went missing twenty-two years ago. Her aunt is Rose Nash, a jewelry vendor at Artisans Alley, who is determined to find her niece's murderer and asks for Katie's help to do it. My Review: I really enjoy this series, I got the first book at the library to read. Katie Bonner is a fun main character, curious enough to be normal (in my opinion), but not so dumb that she is slow to solve the mystery. All the eccentric characters are fun, too.

This arrived safely today - along with book number three - thank you SO much Weeder! I'm really looking forward to reading this; most of my other TBRs are lengthy reads to I'm really glad to have something more fun. I really appreciate your sending these so far!

Finished this book yesterday - it was an enjoyable, fun read. The mystery was even more interesting than the first book, with the added people in from out of town, though some of the characters seemed a little more prone to jump to irritations.

Katie is sure enjoying her extra-curricular detecting, but I'm hoping she will also come to enjoy Artisans Alley -- unless she does end up with the Webster place in a later book. I guess we'll have to see! I wanted to save book three for later, but I've already started reading it. Oops.. :)
