We all know the Disney versions, but the originals have so much more depth, detail, and interest!
I have the opportunity to pass it on to a military person overseas through Marine Corps Moms' collecting things to send overseas in a Thanksgiving and Christmas shipment from Blue Haven drop off points in the Dallas Fort Worth area, so this one is going. Books were on the wish list.
It's always nice to read about your own country in representative literature when overseas.
I thought this would be a good way to increase a catch rate on books and a fun way to keep military personnel overseas involved at home.

Dang! I sure wish I knew where this book went. I'd like my husband to be able to read the original Rip Van Winkle now. It's soooo very pertinent politically at the present!
