bought to read and release as part of the 'country hopping' challenge (Vietnam)

I was interested in reading this because of the comparisons to All Quiet on the Western Front, which I loved, and also because I'm planning a trip to Vietnam next year. It was good - not as good as All Quiet on the Western Front, and the narrative was difficult to follow at times - but a graphic and horrifying account of war nonetheless.
