Notes From An Exhibition
3 journalers for this copy...
An inside look at the family of an artist, and since the artist is a female, and therefore Mother, Wife and the one who traditionally holds the family together, the family dynamics are slightly skewed. She enters a Quaker family and it isn't until the very end of the book that we find out anything about her life beforehand. It's a good read on several levels: modern Quaker beliefs, the drama highly creative people inflict on those around them and the very fine line between brilliance and madness.
Posted off to stringofpearls, as she wished.....ENJOY!
Arrived yesterday, looks great - thank you, MizFiloos!
Actually read this shortly after I received it, should have made an entry at that time. I liked this story about the complicated relationships between members of a family. I especially felt comfortable with it because my mother was an artist as well.
Sending to spoiledrotten for the 2013 birthday group rabck. Happy Birthday!
Received today from stringofpearls for my birthday! Thanks so much! Can't wait to read it.
