I realised when I started reading that I've actually read this book before, but so long ago that I remembered almost nothing about it, so it was like coming to it fresh. I love the way the characters weave their versions of the truth around each other, sometimes aware of the others' stories, sometimes oblivious.

I enjoyed this Julian Barnes book and find his writing style quite unique. I loved the diary style of telling the story of the love triangle between Oliver, Gillian and Stuart. Quite an amusing tale of love lost and gained and friendships formed and destroyed.
