Got it from Prologue, with a pile of other children's books.

I have always had in memory the supercalifragilistic... song, but didn't know it was actually from Mary Poppins, or was it, as there's no mention in this book, only in Julie Andrews musical. I like the magic of going into a picture, traveling around the world with a compass, talking animals, and one of the stars came down to do her Christmas shopping, which reminds me of Neil Gaiman stardust. Except Mary Poppins who always seemed cross and snapped at others. It's interesting to read also about the author's life.
