This book is an early edition of Foster's 'Guide', which has since been through updates, corrections and additions. It covers material from 'Lord of the Rings', 'The Hobbit', 'The Adventures of Tom Bombadil' and 'The Road Goes Ever On'. It does not reference anything from 'The Silmarillion' or the later books edited by Christopher Tolkien, which more recent editions of the 'Guide' include. Nevertheless, it is quite exhaustive in its scope though a few errors and inaccuracies can be found here and there.

Hopefully this will be released--I'm heading to see "The Return of the King" but haven't got my ticket yet. I am hoping it's not sold out. If it is, I'll leave the book somewhere along the Ave.

**I made it to the movie and the book was gone by the time I left after sitting through all of the ending credits, so I know it's been taken but I am wondering if it was a theater employee picking up things or a Tolkien enthusiast (or perhaps both).
