It was a great read although I didn't guess the ending afterall.

A book that I would never have picked off the shelf but I am pleased was passed on to me as I thoroughly enjoyed it. The storyline is quite humbling providing a snapshot of English life at that time. It highlights the stoical 'make, do and mend' culture which unfortunately no longer seems to exist here and makes you appreciate the provisions we have available to us in modern day England.

This book was passed on to me by a friend who now lives in the UK (dated 11/24/12). I am not fond anymore on reading on a conventional book (I prefer ebooks, as to support my advocacy on "Save Planet Earth), but I like the idea of passing it to your friends/family after reading and track how far it travels! Lucky book, travelling w/o passport, visa and all those expenses. lol
