The adventures of Raleigh in this book are a hoot. I definatately laughed out loud numerous times. However, this is a LONG book at 600+ pages. At some times, all the descriptions and flashbacks seemed like he was just trying to write a really long book. So many of these could have been removed and not affected the story at all.
