From the back of the book: "Susan Prentice has come home to Virginia's eastern shores to find her past. For some reason, I consider Phyllis Whitney more of a Gothic novel writer than a mystery writer; however, I have enjoyed her books often in the past.

Came to me in the return of my original Cozy Mystery Bookbox which took 10 months from coast to coast to coast!
