This book is in a Controlled Release!
4 journalers for this copy...
Off to PokPok in my Books for Postage campaign. Enjoy!
I rec'd two copies of this from Bren. One will be given to my sister, the other to Secretariat, and then a bookray out of it. (Possibly the second will return to me, and I'll do the same). I have my own copy, so these will definitely move. Thanks for letting me share a book I've been telling lots of people about.

Given to me by PokPok at a meetup because I'd been told what a good SciFi book it is and wanted to try it for myself.
What a ride this book takes the reader on! Excellent.
I found it interesting that it poses a moral dilemma--we're attacking the buggers without provocation based on their past history. Sounds very much like Iraq of 2003.
Of course there's a great deal of manipulation going on here by the adults (military) of children, which leads to the question of does the good of the many outweigh the good of the one?
I was impressed by the many morals taught with this book, not the least of which was forgiveness. I was also impressed by the magnanimity of the queens.
I'll return this book to PokPok for a ring. Also, she's promised me the sequel to read, which I'm sure I'll get around to in less than 3 years.
I would think this would be a terrific book to assign to teens for a writing assignment. The characters are engaging and fascinating, the subject matter the future, lots of action, and the pace is fast. There are many, many themes and ideas to write on. As a teaching tool it would be a winner.

Journalling to get this back into my possession. I recommend it regularly, so I'll keep for a little while, otherwise I'll probably offer it as a bookray.
