Included in a box of books given to chamonix44 at the meet-up at The Layer Fox.
Thank you ardachy for this 2012 WBN book, and the others that you picked up for me. I enjoyed meeting up with you and the other Colchester BookCrossers yesterday. I was actually sent a copy of this same book by another BCer. I read it and I will look up my review on it and add it here later.
I was planning to take this book back with me to The Netherlands as having doubles of some of the WBN books is no problem, because the people I lend them out to are very light readers, and therefore very slow readers. So a book could be in a reader's hands for 5 or 6 months before I get it back to lend out again.
However, I heard that someone else was interested in having this book. So I passed it on today. Release notes coming next. I hope that's ok with you ardachy.
My Review:
Great book. I enjoyed every page of it. I have watched the film, which was good. I could only watch the film one time because it was so scary! I'm glad I was able to read the book. All the way through the book I could picture Annie with the face of Kathy Bates....lol !!!!
It was very gripping and scary. I hope I never meet anyone like Annie Wilkes.
Amazon Review:
After an automobile accident, novelist Paul Sheldon meets his biggest fan. Annie Wilkes is his nurse-and captor. Now, she wants Paul to write his greatest work-just for her. She has a lot of ways to spur him on. One is a needle. Another is an ax. And if they don't work, she can get really nasty...
